As a registered training organisation we can offer traineeships for Certificate III and Certificate IV in Outdoor Recreation.

Traineeships are covered by formal agreements known as either “Training Agreements” or “Contracts of Training”. These agreements set out the training and supervision an employer must provide for the trainee as well as the employee’s obligations as a trainee. Traineeships typically last for one to two years. The training for traineeships has been designed by industry for industry, delivered on-the-job, off-the-job, or a combination of both.

A TAFE Traineeship produces an employee who is familiar with a particular business and trained for that industry. Advantages include:

  • Training and assessment support from your TAFE Traineeship Coordinator
  • Support services for employers and trainees including the administration of employer incentives through your local Australian Apprenticeships Centre

TAFE Western will be working with the following Industry Partners to deliver traineeships. If you are interested in exploring a traineeship please contact these organisations directly.

TAFE NSW Lithgow College also trains Outward Bound Australia and The Outdoor Education Group’s staff. If you would like to consider working with these organisations and receive training through us follow the links.
